2/3 c Shortening
2/3 c Butter
1 c Granulated sugar (cut down)
1 c Brown sugar (cut down)
2 Eggs
2 tsp Vanilla
3 c Flour (half whole wheat)
1 tsp Baking soda
1 tsp Salt
12 to 18 oz Semisweet chocolate chips
Heat oven to 375˚. Mix thoroughly shortening, butter, sugars, eggs, and vanilla. Stir in remaining ingredients (mixed together).
Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls 2” apart on ungreaseed baking sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes to until light brown. Cool slightly before removing from baking sheet.
