Almond Cookies II

½ c Butter
½ c Sugar
1 Beaten egg
½ c Finely chopped almonds
Grated rind ½ lemon
2 Tbls Lemon juice
2 c Flour
1 tsp Cinnamon
½ tsp Cloves
¼ tsp Soda

Cream the butter, add sugar gradually, add well beaten egg, chopped almonds, lemon rind, lemon juice, flour, seasoning and soda, mixed and sifted. Roll to one-fourth inch thickness, cut into desired shapes and bake in a moderate oven.
