The first thing you’ll need is a blender. Smoothies are made in a blender. You start with maybe a cup of juice. I like pineapple, but other juices are good, too. Pour the juice into the blender. Add about a handful of fruit. A single fruit or a combination—say berries and a banana—work well. Whatever you’re in the mood for. Then add an ice cream scoop of either yogurt or ice cream (depending on how healthful you want your smoothie). Then you blend in some ice cubes. Lots of ice make a thick smoothie. If it gets too thick, add more juice.
