Flavor-baked Beans

2 1# cans (4 c) Pork and beans in tomato sauce
¾ c Brown sugar
1 tsp Dry mustard
6 slices Bacon, chopped
½ c Catsup

Empty one can of bens into 1-1/2 quart casserole; combine brown sugar and mustard and sprinkle half over beans.

Top with other can of beans and sprinkle with remaining brown sugar mixture, the chopped bacon, and catsup. Bake uncovered in a slow oven (325˚) for 2-1/2 hours.

Makes 6 to 8 servings.

According to her own notes, this recipe should not be hurried. However, you can bake it at 350˚ for 45 minutes.
