String Bean Salad II

1# String beans, cooked and drained.
4 slices Bacon, minced and sautéed in a skillet.

Add ½ mild vinegar, 1/8 tsp paprika, 2 Tbls sugar, and ¼ c bean water to the drippings in the skillet*. Add the minced bacon back in. Heat; add salt if needed. Combine the dressing with the beans. They may be served hot or chilled.

*One-half cupful chopped onion may be sautéed in the bacon fat before the vinegar is added. Herbs may be added.
