Maggie’s Meat Balls

¼ c Chopped onion
½ lb Ground beef
½ lb Ground veal
¾ tsp Salt
Dash Pepper
½ tsp Nutmeg
2 Tbls Flour
1 Egg
½ c Light cream
1 can Beef Consommé

Cook onion in 1 tbls butter until tender but not brown. Combine meat and seasonings, beat thoroughly. Beat in flour, then beat in egg. Gradually beat in cream. Add onion. Form in 1” balls. Brown in butter, shaking skillet to turn balls. Add consommé and cook uncovered 12 to 15 minutes. Remove balls and thicken gravy.
